Yesterday I was leaving Retiro park after exercising, and encountered V. by chance. She was on the phone and excused herself a second to hang up properly, and then we greeted. It was delightful to find her by chance, it had been two weeks and there were no plans for meeting, she is very understanding in matters of space, and I had no inclination in meeting her, but finding her by chance was somehow surprising and welcome.
As we walked home I remembered I had a small disaster waiting for me and so I said I would invite her for dinner if my home were not a disaster, she told me not to worry and we went on talking. We spoke about AI and she listened intently to my enthusiastic diatribe, but the fact is: I'm often coming back to work to do small projects with Claude and that is utterly remarkable in me at this age.
When I work I almost never tackle personal projects on the computer, it's just too much screentime and I love my exercise and my leisure. But this thing just executes ideas that pop up at random, how could I not ask it to do the most fanciful things that occur to me at every moment?
The reader might notice I just got sidetracked from the story I'm about to tell, but I think I'm doing myself a disservice by outputting my biological tokens at a snails pace, when Claude could be in the background, doing something with me while I type. It must be related to this. Oh I think I know what I can do: I want to be able to upload video and photos from my phone into bunny.net, and also provide a convenient way of doing it from my desktop computer. When things are a hassle (exporting into a file, logging in, oh shit 2FA, navigate to... what it R2 or that's cloudflare?), even describing the problem to Claude sounds boring, but its better done now.
Ok let's plan: I have a service, bunny.net. It's a hassle to upload videos and photos. I want to be able to do it from my phone and my destop computer. I already have an account. I also have a VPS in digital ocean, and a Netlify account. I want this to be my centralized CDN where I will serve pictures and video. If bunny.net also serves anything that could be useful to me, let me know. Create a plan for a personal CDN for someone who her several online properties. It is not necessary to whitelist domians, but perhpas I will do it in the future if it becomes expensive.
Claude is working, so I was enthusiastically telling V, about how easy it is for me to simply delegate these eye-watering zero creative moments of putting together a project. I'm starting to feel FOelelMO sometimes, a vague sense that an ally can work in my own direction by telling it what to do, as evidenced by this detour.
I was so enthused I said "you know what, my home is indeed a disaster but if you can forgive that I invite you for dinner". She said yes. The good thing is that I had done my week's mealprep (a large pot of lentils and cooked some meat). I also cut out half a melon. She declined wine, saying that she was in her monastic period, words which I might have taken too seriously, but I'm never going to steer a friend away from virtue (or vice, to tell you the truth).
After we sat down for dinner we changed the topic. I said I felt vain lately.
