A moment ago I raised from my desk to get coffee. I noticed I needed to pee. I placed my cup under the coffee machine and pressed the touchscreen for a lungo. I then took my piss, washed my hands and came back to find my coffee done. It gave me satisfaction, like when you feel you're doing twice the work when you're washing the dishes and the washing machine is taking care of the clothes.
It's similar to AI now: Wednesdays I'm on duty handling support. I'll write a prompt, answer a support ticket, and come back to review the work. Give it another prompt and come back to support duty. I've always been bad at delegating work and with AI it's not an exception.

The day is flying by. I like days like these, when my mind matches my tasks. If I must multi-task on a day when I'm single threaded I suffer, If I must single-thread a task when I'm scattered I suffer. There's a right time for everything, but if you wait for the right time to arrive, you'll keep on waiting. We only notice the state of our mind when we seriously attempt to work.

I'm back home and I smoked a joint. I'm searching for video providers. My excuse to not record myself is because I don't want this to be on youtube, I must upload my video files into a storage service. Firebase's invoice came in today at a miserly amount, but it had been free until now. This means my storage bucket has filled up and I must find a larger container where to place my files, but I'm mostly interested in video storage for on-demand consumption.
On saint h0p3's recommendation that I do not limit myself to a single sandperson, I took the question to Gemini and greeted it (I'll settle on a pronoun later) asking what improvements had been done to it since we last met. Gemini gloated about entering the "Gemini 3 era" with more creativity, better reasoning, and social awareness. Gemini prompted me at the end of its self-promotion: "Is there a specific project you're working on? I’d love to show off one of these new features—would you like me to try generating an image with text or perhaps draft a plan based on a document you have?"
I answered:
Yes, I have a project. The project involves recording myself and publishing it, but I don't want it to be promoted. I want to own my files and be able to stream. Right now, for example, I'm uploading .mov to Firebase Cloud Storage, and it would cost me a lot. Instead, I'm looking for a provider and I want to know the price range for services like Brightcove or perhaps a private Vimeo account. I would like to know my options for this idea.
Gemini discarded Brightcove and among the options gave one that caught my eye: bunny.net. A big realization just happened at this very moment: I searched for Bunny Stream on Google and got an unmissable first page result, despite using an Ad Blocker. So it has begun. You're showing your true colors too early, Gemini.
Anyways, a spidey sense told me something was off Gemini offered to compare Bunny Stream to Firebase Storage, that's not in my best interest. Instead, I took the task to Claude and gave it a deep research task: find me the best priced competitor to Bunny Stream. Let's see the results:
Surprise surprise: Bunny Stream is in my best interest. Damn. The big realization has been turned upside down. It's possible that the dystopia has not begun yet and what I saw was a coincidence: they bought advertising on AdSense and Gemini truly believed they were the best option for me. It's useful to notice at this stage, any AI we use should be trusted to be impartial. Advertising in AI is inevitable but also shitty I think.
Ok, let's get started with our project, let's give a second chance to Gemini. Didn't need it. Signed up to bunny.net and getting credit for putting in your credit card was a no brainer, the cost will hurt later, but by then I'll know if this service is necessary. Marvelous.
I replaced the video hosted in firebase with one hosted on bunny.net, here's the entry. I was kinda expecting that I could plug in a url into a video tag, but it turns out I must use their player. I don't know if this is my ignorance or if it's a real shortcoming, I'll read on it later.
Ok, one last thing before I'm done: delete the video from Firebase so that I won't get charged two cents every month, let's go do that. Scrolling through the infinite unsortable list of assets to the very end was very annoying, but when I clicked on the checkbox and scrolled back up because the delete button is not persistent, that was a UI crime on them and a stupidity crime on my part: there's better way to scroll to the start of the document.
The purpose of this sprint is done and I'm getting hungry, I'll log off for today.
